Cravings by Chrissy Teigen

After the extraordinary success of Cravings, Chrissy Teigen comes back with more of her signature wit and take-no-prisoners flavor bombs.Cravings: Hungry for More takes us further into Chrissy’s kitchen…and life. Before I get started..I'd like to just inform you that this cookbook is outstanding. My expectations have been reached and then some. And I had very high expectations, btw. Chrissy Teigen remains the cooking goddess she is and this cookbook will become a kitchen staple for me, just like her first cookbook. I know I'll be using the recipes over and over. I cannot wait to keep the cooking going. So far..and this is since the release (which was last...

76 Recipes Completed: List Below w/Ratings In my review of Chrissy's first cookbook, I stated that I was absolutely sure she would come out with a second (and a third, etc.) and here we are! My husband and I were so excited to be cooking our way through Cravings: Hungry for More in 2019 - targeting 50%-80% completion of each section. The first cookbook was absolutely delicious and I was thrilled to be jumping back on the Chrissy flavor train - CH...

Anybody else love reading cook books or is it just me?

The recipes in this book look tasty and there are several I would like to try, enough that even though I borrowed this book from the library I will most likely purchase a copy to add to my collection. I like to add little flags and sticky notes in my cookbooks to mark the recipes I would like to try and this one would have quite a few. The recipes included are not difficult, but they are not overly simplistic either. Chrissy uses ingredients you ...

The food in this looks so beautiful I literally had tears in my eyes the first time I flipped through it. Excited to try these recipes!

I might have been the only person in the world who didn't know what a foodie Chrissy Teigen is.I knew her mostly as a model and the wife of John Legend but nothing about how much she loves to eat and cook and eat, until my sister told me about her cookbooks. Cravings: Hungry for More was a lot of fun to read.I love Chrissy's blunt, sometimes sardonic commentary, the gorgeous full page color photographs and the easy, accessible recipes that anyon...

This is genuinely AMAZING. The hit rate of "oh shit I want to make that ASAP" was definitely higher than the original, and definitely higher than a lot of other cookbooks.

4.5Some really good recipes here, but my favorite is the sweet & spicy peach & brie grilled cheese. I'm going to make the blackberry pop-overs this week as well (and they look fabulous), but upon discovering I have a peach tree in my yard have been looking for unique and tasty peach recipes, especially. I like Chrissy's books. Nothing is too difficult and she has some easy recipes for families and working people. Plus, she's just a feisty, fun ga...

This is an awesome cookbook. Simple meals anyone can make.

I love all things Chrissy Teigen, and I've loved making gluten free/vegetarian versions of the recipes in her first cookbook. So of course I was at the Barnes and Noble the day this was released. The introduction had me feeling all those feels, and the acknowledgement section had me tearing up when I got to her dogs. But the anecdotes and tips in the introductions to each of her recipes always make me laugh. I've got two weeks off coming up for f...

I might have to buy this physical book as I do have her first one. Cannot wait to make French Toast with whipped honey ricotta topping 🤤Soups will definitely make creamy tomato with peppery parmesan chips & I have never made french onion but always wanted to 👩🍳 I might have to buy this physical book as I do have her first one. Slightly obsessed with Chrissy Teigen, seriously can we be friends!? Who knew you could make a cookbook funny? The recipes are good too!

This had some helpful tips and great photos, but no recipes that I'm interested in attempting.

Can't wait to try these recipes. I loved her humor sprinkled through the book as well.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I. LOVE. Chrissy. Teigen. Her witty, succinct style (which was honed and perfected on Twitter) is just the thing to lighten your load on hefty days, and I can't ever get enough of her social media accounts. The best thing about the Cravings series is that these are legit cookbooks, so you can get your nosh and your belly laugh on all at the same time. There are so many creative re-mix recipes here of c...

This book and Tiegen's first book spent a week in my kitchen on a test drive. A successful test drive. I would recommend this for people who like to cook. Be warned though, model or not, Tiegen isn't afraid to eat real food -- this ain't no diet cookbook! My favourite recipe in this book was the chorizo stuffed tomatoes and I will definitely be making those again and again and again. Super yummy. I tried them with turkey sausage too and they were...

I didn't know who Chrissy Teigen was when I took her first cookbook out of the library. It was like discovering a new friend. She was upfront, funny, and most of all, as excited about food as I was. I tried over half the recipes in her cookbook (which is unusual for me to actually get around to) and they were all. so. damn. good. She set a high standard, and I think everyone was hoping she could do it again with her second book. Well, she has. Ano...

Chrissy Teigen is delightful. She's goofy and beautiful, and, despite being glamorous, doesn't seem pretentious. The same can be said for this cookbook. While elegant dishes abound, there are also multiple grilled cheese recipes, some BBQ, and corndogs. Many recipes can be easily made vegetarian, and there is a good assortment of healthy and not-so-healthy. It includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, salads, dessert, and an entire chapter appropriately...

Chrissy Teigen clearly has a way with food. Every recipe I've ever tried, either from this book or her first, Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat, has resulted in a spectacular we gotta make this again meal of some sort. I really enjoy how relatable she stays by injecting her dry, sardonic humor into the little passages found throughout the book, as well as including recipes she has collected from friends and family members. I'll d...

This is a cookbook and an excellent one at that. I really enjoyed the intros to all the recipes - her conversational style really reaches out to the reader. The recipes are easy, mostly fast, can be done by anyone without any extra kitchen equipment, and are tweekable (add more of this spice over that spice - use this green instead of that one, etc.). I prefer cookbooks from non-trained 'chefs' as I find the recipes in them to be more like I migh...

I read this cover to cover (wild Friday night). There isnt a recipe in this book I wouldnt try. The photography is beautiful. I love having a picture for basically every recipe. Chrissy talks about being a mom, body image, her crazy famous life, her ex-blog life, family, etc. and with a great sense of humor. Plus, there are entire chapters dedicated to sandwiches and potatoes. Whats not to love? I read this cover to cover (wild Friday night). T...

I almost never rank cookbooks on my Goodreads because I rarely sit down and actually read them, but Chrissy's are an exception. Unlike so many of the very specialized cookbooks I see at work (This Diet, That Diet, Eating for Bad Knees, etc); this is just yummy, yummy food with Chrissy's commentary that is sometimes helpful and always humorous. So I haven't made every item in here just yet, but her corn pudding was a huge hit this Thanksgiving.
  • Jeri Goins
Her recipes sound great, but the ingredients or method are often too much for me. I don't want to destroy my kitchen or buy things I will only use once. So, I've read both of her cookbooks and enjoyed them for their content and the glimpse into her awesome life, but I haven't prepared any of her recipes.
  • Elizabeth
While not as laugh-out-loud funny as her first book, this is a great cookbook filled with highly cookable recipes. I like that Chrissy is a little more aware that not everyone can tolerate her spice level and she offers more options for moderating the heat. I was craving Thai food and her Red Chicken Curry completely satisfied that craving--true to the title.

If you don't own this cookbook and the first Cravings, you aren't living your best life. Excellent, real food. Sometimes a slow cook, others are fast. The writing is witty. The pictures are adorable. My husband is always excited when this cookbook is out. He knows Chrissy hasn't failed us yet. She breaks down cooking into something that everyone realizes they can do, and do well.
