This book, where to start? Zam is just as badass as always, maybe even more so now. I love that she is strong, but she also has her meltdowns like anyone else. The men in her life are strong as well, and now I am torn between rooting for Ford or hoping that somehow Maks returns. This series will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is full of action. The battles that Zam must fight are getting harder and harder for her to win. I love that when Z...

WOW just when you think it can't get any better you get blown off your feet by the next book and this is what this did to me! A fantastic series with awesome characters this latest addition has twists and turns that you will not see coming and you will be glued to the book until you finish as I was! I absolutely love Zam and Lila and have to say this series is the best I've read this year so I totally recommend it!

Zam is back with her friends, and more than a couple additions. Her heart is freshly broken and she is needing to heal but with the world at stake...she has no time to sit and mend.Oracle's Haunt is a yet another fantastic addition to her Desert Cursed series. Zamira's curse seems to be in full effect as things just can't seem to go right for her and those around her. I love how this book flows. Zamira is dealing with a lot in her life, but in th...

It's so hard to write reviews without giving away any spoilers....so here is what I'll tell you. Shannon Mayer has a writing style that matches no other. She sucks you in to the world she has created leaving you breathless for more. Oracles Haunt was an amazing book with a bit of everything. You'll cry, you'll scream, you'll laugh, you'll cheer...you'll either need to put it down to catch your breath or you won't want to put it down at all. Zam a...

For most of Shannon Mayer's books I have started a review as soon as I have finished the book. They are always raves, as she is such a talented author. I had to savor this book a while. Zam and company have maneuvered their way to number one in my heart and this book is one of the reasons. Yes, it is an emotional rollercoaster, as usual in one of Shannon's books, but this one is an example of family. What is a family, who makes up a family, why d...

The continuing adventures of Zamira and LilaYou'd think that now that Zam is Alpha of her own pack life might be a little easier. You'd think wrong. Maks is now the head of the Jinn and no longer the same man she loves. This book follows our heroine as she head's for the Oracle's Haunt, she's trying to find out how to bring her brother back, but she also wants to know if she can save Maks and restore him. What would possibly go wrong? This story ...

This series just gets better and better. Zamira is a wonderful anti-hero who is amassing a small troop of diverse and lovable comrades on her journey to save the world from the impending release of the caged emperor- a right evil bastard. As Zamira matures she is learning to be less reckless and in this installment we find her taking the role of leader to all new levels. The bonds between the characters is so heartfelt and deep, it is impossible ...

I have said it before, Shannon Mayer's ability to create such wonderful and fascinating worlds never cease to amaze!! From the very first page to the very last sentence, this book-like all her other books-does not disappoint. In this book we follow Zam as she races to find the Oracle hoping to get the answers she needs to stop the Emperor from waking. All the while, she is trying to keep her new pride safe and together; running from enemies that s...

Zam, Zam, Zam what in all the realms is she going to do now? Book 4 of Shannon Mayer’s Desert Cursed series does not disappoint, we literally hit the pages running. Talk about a whirlwind mix of danger, adventure, and survival by the skin of their teeth (literally for some)! As Zam, Lyla and the rest of the pride are heading to find the Oracle the bad luck that follows Zam catches up with her and she has no choice but to face the foes who seek ...

Oh man. This book ripped my heart out, ate it, then mocked me for being weak. Zam has some crazy nonsense to survive in book 4. Her love is lost, but she refuses to give up. The emporer is closer to awake then ever. She has a new pride and everything is just incredibly overwhelming. And I feel all of it! It's so vivid and real that reading it was a visceral experience. It's rare that an author can inspire such intense, conflicting emotions in me,...

This fourth book of the Desert Cursed series is Amazing!!! I absolutely love it. Zam is such an amazing character. It's so easy to forget that this series is a spin off from the Venom and Vanilla trilogy because it surpasses those stories in all categories. There is once again so much going on with Zam and her pride. It seems as if danger is coming from every side. Her leadership, relationships and love are tested. We meet some new players. Of co...

The feeling of family, love and loyalty is so prevalent and strong in this book that I feel as if I am one of them. I want to protect, save and travel and stand together with them in this journey they are on; better myself as they are understanding and accepting themselves for all that they already are and don’t realize, as well as, what they have yet to discover about themselves. This love and loyalty will take them far together to accomplish ...

Our poor girl, Zam, cannot catch a break! She's officially up sh*t creek, with no paddle, and she's approaching the rapids. The action does not stop in this one. If you haven't already picked up on it, the journey to the Oracle is fraught with danger. And don't get me started on Maks. I like Ford and he's a good companion for Zam at this point in her life, but I hope there's a way to bring Maks back. I devoured this book, which is no small feat f...

Wow....This series just keeps getting better and better. This one has all the feels in it. It will make you laugh out loud then cry your eyes out then grab your heart cause you get so exited then back to crying because you are so happy. Boy I about chewed all my nails off reading this one. Lila and Zam will keep you on the edge of your seat and Steve will get your mind active while planning his demise or destruction or pain along with Shannon.......

It seems that every time Shannon puts out a new book, it becomes my new favorite. I really love this story line. There are so many twists and turns. I love the characters, their backstories and the development she's done with them. There is a big emphasis on family and sticking together in this book. Zam is becoming an amazing Alpha. My heart swells every time she gives Kiara praise. I cried a couple of times, but overall the story had a happy fe...

I cannot believe we are already on book four! We already knew Zam and Lila were soul sisters but it really hits home for the reader in this book. The love they have for each other is amazing and knows no bounds. I've always had a love hate relationship with Maks and that hasn't changed. I never know how to feel about that boogerbutt. STEVE is still a damn douchecanoe. And Ford, I am finding myself leaning towards team Ford. I get so wrapped up in...

As always with a Shannon Mayer book, she does indeed put her characters through a rough ride but oh is it worth it. Zam is back, with friends and family in tow. Because one thing that Shannon Mayer teaches us is that family is exactly what you make it. The desert and the Jinn are tough on Zam but we get action, high adventure, tension, love and excitement all rolled up in one. Things are hotting up in the expectation of Zam saving the world and i...

Book 4 of the Desert Cursed series picks up right where book 3 ends. Once again Mayer doesn’t disappoint. We are along for the struggle as Zamira tries to survive all of the heartbreak she has been forced to endure. She also faces treachery within her pack. She must face her worst fears and build alliances with unlikely partners. The character development continues to bring you further into the story. I went from laughing, to crying, to being a...

I’ve been a fan of the author since I read her Rylee series, and I will read just about anything she writes. This is the fourth book in this series, and I still feel that way. Zam, Lila, et al are on the run for most of this book, trying to reach the Oracle. What follows is plenty of non-stop action, revelations, and heartbreak, and I enjoyed almost every single minute. Lila is probably my favorite character of this whole series, but I really l...

Shannon Mayer delivers with another fast-paced action-packed novel for Zam’s 4th book. I enjoy each of the novels in the Desert Cursed series more than the last. You can’t help but like Zam. Add in Lila and you have the perfect pair. I just love how big of a role family plays in this series, regardless of whether that family is blood or not. I’m feeling really conflicted regarding Zam’s love life after Oracle’s Haunt, but I’m excited ...

Ok where to start with this... right so imagine getting witches, jinn, shifters, dragons, action, romance, humour and adventure... shoving it all into a firework with extra dynamite and colour and lighting it on fire... that’s what you have in the oracle haunt and explosion of everything an extraordinary book needs, it will suck you in and keep you there until you have devoured it or it has devoured you... it will give you all the right feels a...

Non-stop action. Endearing protagonists and a fabulous flawed villain The pace of this short novel is relentless. There's plenty of action mystery and characters with clues for Zamora. However if I am feeling critical, the battles, rescues, and new destinations are feeling a trifle repetitive. I could do with space and more character development. The bonding between allies feels too instant and unconvincing for that reason.Enjoyable, exciting but ...

I love this series so much and Oracle's Haunt did not disappoint! I've been drawn to the characters of Zam and Lila since we first met them in Witch's Reign. I relate to their feelings of being "other" and "not good enough". Oracle's Haunt continues their journey of finding themselves and I love following their journey as they come into their own. It's a book full of adventure, love, loss, friendship, finding one's confidence, and perseverance. F...

This book is one of those books you cant put down because stuff is happening constantly. The author does a very good job at keeping you hooked. I also liked how well the characters emotions are portrayed. You go through every single emotion with them. these characters are becoming life long friends as you read through the series. You just feel like you've known them forever. I highly recommend this book!

Zam is figuring out what family really means. It is those who stick with you no matter what. She and her pack are fighting to survive, to save the world. Even though she has lost so much, she doesn't let that stop her. She plans to find a way to save her brother and Maks. Zam is fighting her feelings for Ford. What will she do? I love Lila, Ford, and the new family she meets in this book. I can't wait to read the next one.

Another Great book in a really great series! This series just keeps getting better and better. Book 4 pulled me right back in with all of the twists, turns and surprises. I loved every minute of it. My heart aches for Zam and I hope she eventually gets her happy ending. I can’t wait to see what Zam and Lila are up to next and what kind of trouble they are going to get in to. Shannon Mayer does not disappoint.

Oracle’s Haunt (Desert Cursed Series Book 4)Zam and Lila are once more in the thick of things, and the story is a non-stop whirlwind. Each of these books is better than the last, and this one is the best so far. It’s so hard not to say things that would be a spoiler, and I don’t like them. But…we have witches, grocs, and Steve. What more do I need to say? Do yourself a favor and read this series and enjoy the wonderful world of Shannon Ma...

If you have read the prior books in this sereis, you will enjoy this book greatly. This newest book will have you experiencing an intense rollercoster of emotion. Zam, Lila and her gang are traveling to see the Oracle. Steve is is typical jerky self. Without giving any spoilers, I can't say much more.
