This book was surprisingly sweet! I have to admit, the combination of the word Aussie in the title and the fact that there is a marriage of convenience of sorts mentioned in the synopsis was what sparked my interest. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the story went beyond those two simple things. This story goes beyond being about a woman that needs a visa to stay in Australia and her and annoyed and sexy Australian neighbour. This i...

Charming, Sweet, and Hopeful! The Aussie Next Door is a heartwarming, humorous story that introduces us to Angie, a single, American, young woman who needs to get married but wants to fall in love; and Jace, a reclusive, handsome, cartoonist who prefers routines, order, and living alone. The writing is light and authentic. The characters are genuine, intriguing, and supportive. And the plot is an appealing mix of friendship, family, compromise, ind...

“Thank you.”“For what?”“For being you.” Stefanie London is a new to us author and her latest book, The Aussie Next Door served as the perfect introduction to her writing. Based in Patterson’s Bluff, a small town in Melbourne Australia, this emotional rom-com was packed with humour, heart, and heat, not to mention a hero who soon had us falling head over heels!‘The possibility of getting two dreams for the price of one swirled in h...

3.75/5 starsThis is the first book that I have read from this author and I am glad that I took the chance. This was a wonderful and fun read that will have you feeling all the emotions with each page flip. The characters of Jace and Angie were so realistic. The chemistry between the characters was great. They each had their own issues and struggles to work through but they were able to so they can get the HEA that they deserved. I received an ARC...

‘The Aussie Next Door’ is the first book I have read by Stefanie London, and i was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. The book focuses on Angie Donovan, an American who is in Australia on a visa. Unfortunately her visa is approaching expiration, and she is forced to comprehend that she has to now leave a country that is the first place to feel like home to her. She has had a turbulent upbringing of being in the foster ...

When Jace Walters is forced into dog sitting a family friend’s two adorable dogs, his life is turned upside down. Ms. London's start to The Aussie Next Door is adorable and engaging. I loved the small town setting and the strong sense of family and community. The slower pace seemed to fit the story, and there is just enough humor to add a sense of charm and appeal to the characters and plot. The author treated Jace, an on-the-spectrum character,...

Reasonably cute with a hero who is on the Autism spectrum. At times, I felt the miscommunication was cyclical and there were elements of Angie's past that still seem to remain a mystery. The secondary characters really shined, though, and while I'm not much of a small town romance fan, I was charmed by the seaside Patterson's Bluff. Very curious about the next pairing in the series.

I adored this book which delivers everything I love about a small-town romance—and more!At its heart, The Aussie Next Door centres on our need for connection and belonging. My heart is full after experiencing the journeys of handsome, yet somewhat reclusive Jace who is looking for solitude, and passionate, but deceptively upbeat Angie who wants to help everyone she meets. Jace grew up in a large, loving family, but his autism always made him fe...

*** ARC Received for Honest Review ***4 starsSuper cute love story. This is a complete beach read. I could have sat somewhere with a big hat and a cold drink and read this book all day long. What a cute story about the quirky and h-o-t, Australian and his talkative and sweet neighbor/tenant. This was such a sweet story (even with the hot scenes). Jace is part of a big family (I think they are next in the series) and has autism. So he likes routines and is a bit of a hermit. He draws a well know cartoon. His mother likes to shake things up for him sometimes, so he is stuck with babysitting two dogs for a couple of months. He has a bit of a crush on his American neighbor Angie, but when she needs his help to obtain an Australian visa h...

I read an ARC of this book. Wow, so many emotions. So many feelings. This was light and funny in some spots, and deep0ly emotional in others. I loved how the characters took their time to come together and learn about the best parts of one another. Sweet and romantic.

A Diamond in the Rough.....This story plucked my heart strings something fierce. Jace and Angie's story took me by surprise, in a really good way. Jace Walters lived his life by a regimented timetable that always suited him and served his purpose in his life. He craved being by himself and in his own world. Coming from a family of seven, he yearned for alone time. As soon as he was able, he moved out of his family home to seek quiet solitude, and...

I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a first time book from this author for me. I have mixed feelings about it. I thought the story was funny and touching but I also felt like it dragged in others. To me a great story is one that catches your interest right from the start and I don't want to put the book down until I finish it. Unfortunately I had no problem setting the book down and had to push myself to k...

I did like this book. I liked that the hero wasn't your normal type A, alpha personality. Jace was quarky and fun. Angie was ok, a little too many hang ups that take her way too long to wake up to. The promblem for me was the book was really slow. No real action or moving on anywhere fast and it became boring so I would have to put it down for awhile and then come back to it. I liked the ending but it did not have enough action to keep my attenti...

Loved this book! Angie is the American that needs to marry and Australian to stay in the country. Jace is her landlord and reluctant friend to Angie. They seemed to come to life on the pages. I found myself totally invested in their story and wanting them to get their HEA ending. This is a wonderful story that made me fall in love with the characters and Australia. The author created characters that are fully developed and with backstories that a...

After reading the description of this book I had really high hopes for it. I wanted to love this book, but I couldn't. I honestly had to force myself to finish it, and that does not happen often. So needless to say, this book is not my cup of tea.The pacing was slow, the arguments were circular, the characters one-dimensional, and for being as long as it was, the story was not fleshed out in the least. There was so much potential, and yet it fell...

** ARC kindly provided by the author for an honest review. ** It was a sweet a cute story with a strong hint of slow burn romance. Even if I appreciated a hero a bit different and the sassy heroine, I felt like the very slow pace and taking some time to feel the characters’ connection was a bit dragged out and it was just a long first part, when you had the characters’ thoughts but not really feeling that little something yet. I haven’t b...
