Huge 5 Stars! I loved everything about this book! It was perfection. I’ve been anxiously awaiting Seth’s story with a lot of excitement and a bit of trepidation. Seth is...well...Seth. His story would be tricky to write but Dianne Duvall did an amazing job navigating land minds and giving him the love story he deserved. Well done Ms. Duvall. I’ve had a great time reading (listening) to your Immortal Guardians series.

I really LOVED this story. I have waited for Seth to find his love since meeting him in Book 1 Darkness Dawns and this story didn't disappoint. You can read my full review on my WordPress blog, Flora's Musings...So, what did I like about it?I really love Ms Duvall’s writing style and find her books very easy to read (but impossible to put down! Lol!); she writes intelligent, engaging stories with a collection of well written characters, set aga...

The story we’ve all be waiting for is finally here. I was utterly enthralled with what Duvall’s imaginings penned vividly and beautifully bringing Seth's story to life. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but it provided so much more…Through out the Immortal Guardian series I’ve guessed and have gotten hints from Dianne Duvall about Seth and his origins. She’s kept us always pondering the mysteries of Seth while keeping us hanging on to ...

If I could give this book 10 Stars I would. It is full of surprises and jaw dropping moments. It moves fast. I never thought I would like a middle age women for Seth's love interest and wife. Don't let Leah Somerson 46 years of age trip you up. There was a method to the madness. What you think is going to happen doesn't happen. There is one shock after another, David, Cliff, Baby Adira and Michael, The Watchers, and the Others who they really are...

Dianne Duvall never disappoints. We wanted an earth-shaking novel for our most beloved character and she has certainly delivered on all the action, suspense and romance we have come to expect.Check out our Character Interview with Seth.Spoiler warning, if you are not up to date with the series. This review also will be referring to happenings in this book. Seth has been the leader of the Immortal Guardians for centuries. He lost his human wife an...

Book source ~ ARC. My review is voluntary and honest. The Immortal Guardians have been fighting for the safety of humanity for thousands of years. Seth is their leader, the stern disciplinarian, the mother hen, the worrier – he is the heart and soul of the Immortal Guardians. But he’s not like the other Immortal Guardians. He’s one of the Others and one of his former brethren is targeting him through his beloved Guardians. Gershom has lost h...

MAGNIFICENT, SEXY, FUN, GRIPPING, HEARTBREAKING. It will grab you and won’t let you go. The book not only shows you Seth and Leah relationship it also shows you how much everyone else has grown (yes including Sheldon 🤣🤣). It shows you what unconditional love looks and felt like between this remarkable characters we love so much.

Finally the day has arrived - the beautiful, loyal, kind, generous, heroic Seth gets his lady love! I am beyond thrilled, folks. If you have been following this series as I have, and the companion Gifted Ones series, you will know what I mean when I say that this day has been awaited for a very long time. I always wanted the father figure of the Guardians to find romance himself, and with such an obviously kind heart, who more deserves a little b...

Ok so I’m apparently in the minority, but I was very underwhelmed. Leah was...ok. She seemed nice enough. But all she did was act weird and say dumb stuff. The love story made no sense because why did it happen? They met and then they were in love. Then they had sex. And that’s basically all they did. Also, who watches Stranger Things on DVD???? Most of the time Leah spoke I just wanted to be like “please stop talking.” She rarely added a...

“Here. “ She shoved three large towels at his chest. “Get out of those wet clothes and dry off. Don’t worry,” she promised with a grin. “I’m not going to take advantage of you.” He actually smiled then. “Would you be offended if I expressed disappointment?”Death of Darkness is the mind-blowing, phenomenal and literally earth-shaking ninth entry in Dianne Duvall’s amazing Immortal Guardians saga. Seth receives his well-earned...

This was a fun one to read, mostly because Seth was gobsmacked by Leah and we got to learn a lot of secrets. From the start Seth wasn't quite sure what to think of Leah, she definitely made an impression. I loved that Leah was equally smitten by her, despite thinking she was 10-15 years older than Seth. But the best was how the Immortal Guardians reacted, first to Seth even being slightly interested in a woman, then later when Seth and Leah were ...

there is always the worry when a beloved character in a series finally gets their book that the story will wane and fall well short of the anticipation and expectation that had built over multiple prior books. Seth's HEA was such a highly anticipated story, however Ms Duvall met the challenge with flying colors -- no let down here. We get to see a side of Seth that we had only gotten brief hints or glances of before, Leah is a wonderful match for...

5 well deserved stars! Everything we needed for Seth’s story-and then some! We get a wonderful romance with a super feisty hero, action for days, and all kinds of questions answered. However, we mainly get SETH! I love Seth, to be honest I think everyone who reads this series, loves Seth. As the leader of the Immortal Guardians, Seth has had only one love and that was thousands of years ago. He never ever thought he’d find love again and it w...

Holy Hell!!! Wow!!! No other words!!!Like most fans of the IAD series I’ve been waiting not so patiently for Seth’s book and it does not disappoint... i waited up so that when it came at midnight I could start and I struggled to put it down to get the kids to school (on no sleep as well).... ties up a lot of loose ends, answers a lot of questions and hurls the IAD world into its next chapter. It is book 9 (book 11 after the novellas) and I su...

I was so disappointed in this coupling. I've been in love with Seth since book one and I hated Leah. It drives me crazy with the low self esteem the female characters always have. This insta love made no sense. For the age of the characters? The immaturity was a let down. Leah wasn't worthy of Seth. The writing was so cliche. This isn't Dianne Duvall's best work. I was really let down.

Those of us who have been reading Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians series since it began have been eagerly awaiting Death of Darkness, Seth's story. It delivers! It is everything I could have wanted from this book and more--action, intrigue, and a love story for all time. Can't wait for the next one.

Buckle up, guys, this is IT!!!!Ohhhh WOW!!!! I don't even know where to start, this book is that amazingly wonderful. Epic and perfect in every way, this story brings vast new meaning to "un-put-downable" and "unforgettable". I will definitely begin rereading this stellar journey the moment I finish this review. Cuz yes, it is that damn good.

Dianne Duvall’s books are something that grabs hold of you and you will not be able to let go of it even after you are done reading. I’m always coming back to re read the series over and over. If you ask me before which one was my favorite I wouldn’t be able to pick one... but now ? Death of Darkness is my favorite. Seth is the leader of the Immortal Guardians and for thousands of years he has given all of him to protect humanity. After los...

"better put your rain boots on. Because monsoon season is coming.” Funniest line ever! But you have to read this to understand what it means. Finally, we get Seth's story. And what a story it is! I have loved this series from the very first book. And Seth is a very big reason why.The Immortal Guardians is a group of, well, Immortals that have been protecting the planet from vampires for millenia. Each individual guardian has his own story, of c...

Have you ever opened a highly anticipated book and hesitated a moment when you hit the table of contents. Thinking to yourself "what if it disappoints me. What then?". Of course, in hindsight that fear was totally uncalled for and totally irrational. Death of Darkness was - for the lack of a better word to convey my feelings - AWESOME! (yes, in capital letters).I cried, laughed, cried some more, was shocked to my core, did I mention the crying?I...

5 Stars Overall/4.5 Stars if I want to be pickyGetting home to read this book was the only thing (besides the leftovers I had so I wouldn't need to cook) that got me through my less than desirable workday, and Dianne Duvall did not disappoint. I finished reading this at 1:30am this morning and I am still tired so this review will prob not be that great. Now I will admit, I was terrified that I wouldn't like Seth's book enough. It's Seth. SETH. Th...

It seems I am in the minority with my review. I was eager to read Seth's story, but it was rather meh. Leah just came off as weird for the purpose of being weird. She felt like a character created just to shock. There wasn't much else to her. Her and Seth's relationship was flat and lacked a reason for existing. They meet and suddenly after all the thousands of women Seth has met and thousands and thousands of years mourning his wife, this is the...

I love this series! I almost never re-read books. However, Dianne Duvall's Immortal series is an exception. Her stories have every component I love in a story: strong heroines, humor, family, romance, action, adventure, mystery, and great hero's. I just finished the newest book and couldn't put it down. Leah is perfect for Seth. I always loved his character, but never considered him to have such a wicked sense of humor. Her ability to bring out h...

This has been a greatly anticipated installment in the Immortal Guardians series and it did not disappoint. It was such an intense read that I hardly know where to start. There were a lot of long awaited answers and a few surprises. Technically, yes this book could be read on its own, but to fully appreciate it you need to be caught up on the series. Seth’s book brings so much to the table. We finally get some closure through great sacrifice, a...

Dianne Duvall does it again!! The IG series has been a personal favorite series for a long time now, and Seth's book did not disappoint. So many moments of gasps and jaw drops. These characters are so wonderful and the reader just gets pulled in as one of the family, going along on this journey with them all. The drama is so real!! But after so many thousands of years, alone in a crowd so to speak, Seth finds a lady love who gets him and who he f...

Seth, the somber and enigmatic leader of the Immortal Guardians, finally gets his story! And he falls in love with a human, for the second time in his millennia-long life.Leah is the owner of a children's store, and Seth becomes involved with her through his adopted granddaughter, Adira. Leah is a middle-aged woman, and Seth looks like he's about 30. Leah feels like a cougar. But once they engage in some dirty-dancing (literally), there's no goin...
