Amnesia by Jaimie Roberts

I don’t use the term “bully” lightly. However, I have no qualms about using it when it comes to Max Cooper. Arrogant. Aggravating. Annoying. Those are just a few of the names I have for him that start with the letter A. I haven’t gotten through the rest of the alphabet ... yet. From the moment I met Max three years ago, he was nothing but an arsehole. The only reason we put up with each other is because we share the same best friend. Then...

2,5 stars rounded up to 3This book is a NA (or YA? I can never be sure about that, sorry) and it is also a romantic suspense. Normally I rarely read YA/NA books and romantic suspense but I wanted to try this book because amnesia is always an interesting topic for me. Also, a dear friend recommended it to me. (And I am sorry my dear friend but this book rubbed me the wrong way, mostly because I HATED THE HERO!)*************************************...

“There’s retrograde amnesia where you lose existing, previously made memories. Then there’s Anterograde, where you can’t form new memories. Then there’s Transient global amnesia where you experience memory loss for some hours. Then lastly there’s Infantile amnesia, which I think a lot of people have. It’s where they can’t remember the first three to five years of their life.” What a ride !! Its guaranteed to alter your perceptio...

While she tries to be nice to others, it just doesn’t work with one particular person and this causes a sequence of events that Lucy cannot reverse. “What if I did offer myself up like that and he shuts me down? My whole life I’ve had to deal with that shit....

3.5 “When did this happen? The point where Max turned from a frenemy to a crush?” StarsThis was a pretty good new adult romantic suspense. It did feel sort of obvious at times WHAT exactly was going on, but the author did a good job throwing red herrings in there so I stayed guessing. We don’t get much of the enemies part in this story, but we know that Max and Lucy haven’t hit it off since meeting three years ago. So when Max loses his m...

The cover whore in me couldn't help but be captivated by this piece of gorgeousness and intrigued by the possibilities. And after reading the blurb, I knew I needed this book in my life, ASAP.Amnesia is a NA romantic suspense with a bit of thriller thrown in for good measure. The suspense and the main character, Lucy, carried me from page one to The End. It was a unique take on the old amnesia romance trope, one that I didn't see coming. not at f...

'Amnesia' is a fantastic and a very satisfying mystery romance by Ms. Roberts. I'd say that while it is just as dark as her other works, this is more of a departure from her usual style of dark romance stuff and I'm very impressed. While I've read and loved quite a few of her works, I can't say that I ever loved her characters especially the heroes. This is the first one where I loved both the hero and heroine. It's really not hard to fall for th...

What. A. Rush. Mind-blowing, thrilling, hot, and completely addictive, Amnesia by Jaimie Roberts was one crazy, wild ride! I grabbed it after reading the blurb and read it in one sitting. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.I really don’t want to go into the plot here, other than what the synopsis tells you. We meet Lucy—who I loved—and her group of friends who she’s known for several years. Unfortunately, her best friend, Ivy, is ...

Interesting plot, cool cover...horrible execution. DNF. 1. The writing needs a lot of work-there is a LOT of mundane telling going on in this book. Lucy goes to the store. Lucy pulls out her phone and checks it. Lucy puts butter on her toast. Etc. There was a whole paragraph that really really irked me in the beginning with SO many simple telling sentences-they could have been combined to make something more complex, but they weren't so it read v...

Prologue — 33 Chapters — Epilogue. Lucy & MaxThe blurb and the prologue were very good. It gripped me. I figured I had found a five-star read. I have read books from this author and enjoyed them, so I had to give this book a try. Sadly to say, after the prologue it flopped for me. I couldn’t really connect to Max and Lucy from the start because their relationship was told instead of being showed. Then he’s in a coma, and suddenly wakes ...

This was a joyous ride from start to stop and a very engaging read. I had heard a lot of bloggers praising it, so I was super happy when I finally got a chance to read the ARC. And this book definitely lived up to the expectations and succeeded in keeping me engaged throughout the read. That being said - at around 60% of the story I was able to deduce what might have happened in Lucy's past and in the essence for the most part of it I was able to ...

Title: AmnesiaAuthor: Jaimie Roberts Genre: Contemporary Suspense Romance **RECEIVED FREE COPY FOR HONEST REVIEW**I have never read this author before so after reading the blurb i was really looking forward to hopefully finding a new author to read. Starting off the writing felt immature as if maybe this book was written for a younger reader. Or maybe the author was a fledgling. Anyway, the writing did improve technically. I don't feel there is m...

This was one freaking thrill ride, full of twists and turns! You go into the book expecting one thing, only to get another. Then you might think you know what's going on, only to get hit with another surprise. Once I started reading this, I couldn't put it down, I was up till 2am finishing the book. I love a good suspense/mystery/thriller with romance thrown in! I highly recommend this book, and now I'm going to have to go read the other books sh...

Unfortunately I didn't connect with characters, their personalities lacked depth, I didn't feel an ounce of emotion from them. The story was unique, the plot was rather twisted, my kind of book. Sadly I just didn't feel anything!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I was on the fence about reading this one as usually memeory loss stories aren’t really my thing. But I am so glad I gave it a chance. I was expecting this sweet love story between two young adults, after one being in a serious crash. A second chance romance. But it wasn’t that at all, it was so much more. This definitely was a second chance and it really was a love story but it was so much more complex than I ever imagined. Th...

2.5 starsEh. Kind of neutral on this one. I had a tough time staying engaged in the story. I never felt the connection between the h and H, mostly because the story really hinged the supposed hatred between them, but we never see much evidence of it. It jumps into the 'amnesia' that changes Max's attitude towards Lucy and the mystery regarding their past just didn't draw me in at all. Perhaps I've just become jaded after experiencing too many med...

Would have been a 5-star read for me had I not guessed the twist in the first 20%.I'm just being picky though, as this was a fantastic read that had me hooked from beginning to end.

Holy cow what ride!I don't know where to start! This book was everything and more! This is definitely in my top 10 favorite reads. This book had me at the edge of my seat! The suspense, the passion, and all the swooning had my head spinning, panting, and I loved it! This is by far the best book I've read by this author.

A fairly quick kindle unlimited read, so free to those who subscribe.I've had Amnesia sitting on my Kindle a while now and thought I'd give it a go today. I wasn't sure if I would be in the mood for it. I've gone of books that concentrate more on the romance aspect and prefer the suspense/thriller sides. Still I thought I'd give this a go.As a whole Amnesia isn't a bad book at all. I read this over an afternoon and it kept me going and interested...
