Foul Line (The Ballers of Rockport High, #2) by E.M. Moore

Foul Line (The Ballers of Rockport High, #2)

The Ballers may have the upper hand at RHS. I underestimated them, their cruelty, their ability to look the other way when something hits them over the head, but camp is a whole other story. Their asses are mine.

I've rated this 3 stars when really it should probably be 4. Let me try and justify that; First off I rated Game On 4 stars when it probably should have been 5. But I'm going to stick with my gut. Second it went in a direction was wasn't rooting for. That's kinda unfair when the writing was just as brilliant and absorbing. I was really frustrated a lot of the time and it was slower than book 1 too. Not as much happened. This series is a new exper...

Okay, first off E.M. you a phenomenal human being and your books hit my heart hard.I had such high expectations before reading this book because of my abundant love for Game On. I was not a bit disappointed!!! This book didn’t leave a single box for me unchecked. EXCEPT maybe a bit more steam with these smoking hot ballers. Because OMG, are you kidding me?? They are all so smoking hot that I’m jealous Tess gets them all to herself. Needless t...

Holy Fucking Hell!Ok, where to start? I guess let's start with this. Y'all know I LOVED Game On. Like it's been my favorite book this year. So I'm not going to lie, as much as I was anticipating this release, I was also scared to death of it. I had such high hopes for this book that I was scared I was going to be let down. Had I built it up so much in my head that E.M. could never live up to it? I already had in my head what I just knew was going...

Ugh...Not even going to lie I'm so mad. I want Lake to pay and I want the next book now! I need the next book now. I did not see that coming and the end wrecked me. I literally have tears running down my face right now. E.M you had me going there for a while. I really was starting to feel sorry for one individual and then torn as to how I could feel that way. Then he had to go and mess it up. I felt so close to Tessa in this heart wrenching book....

I thought I was mad at how book 1 ended. The first thing I did when I finished this book was yell at the friend who recommended this series, because WTF WAS THAT AT THE END?! I waited a few days after finishing this book to post a review, because so many other things happened that I had feelings about while I read them, but I can’t discuss any of those, because what the junk Lake?!

Game On introduced us to Tessa and the Ballers of Rockport High. Their relationships were contentious at times, and super hot at others. But they let her down and betrayed her trust. Now it is time for the annual summer basketball camp and Tessa has a new Motto "Bigger, Badder, Better." She isn't going to let Lake the Snake get to her and going to concentrate on winning on the court. That is all well and good until certain members of the Ballers ...

3.5 stars. For a tiny minuscule moment there I actually felt sorry for Lake. Hah Fudge him guy needs to pay. There is no helping that twatwaffle.First book was the bullying, fake love stuff. This one was the make up redemption. Which wasn’t as good as the first. It feels like it went too easy as if the guys had only done pranks. It started off strong but then pretty much went holiday camp mode.Hayes deserved to be forgiven, his words, actions a...

This series is consuming me!! I am absolutely head over heels in love with Tessa and the Ballers. Well all except Lake. He can go and take a flying leap.Tessa is back on her stomping grounds. She is bigger and badder. She really gives the guys what for, and does not bend an inch. They have a lot to make up for, and yeah she is not just letting them walk over her. So the question here is do the guys get back in her good graces? Did Lake have a goo...

All. The. Stars.EM Moore hit it out of the park again with book 2. No sophomore slump here. It still teeters on that line of high tension, that we experienced in book 1, without tipping it over into unbearable.I love the characters, even the ones I hate are great characters. Every one of them pulls an emotion out of me. They are alive and breathing on the page. I highly recommend this series.

Summer Camp DramaThis second book in the series finally gave up some answers. Although Tessa is still weak in my opinion and she gets on my nerves with her justification of all of the bad things the men in this book do! I hope the third book will show her a stronger women! I hope her justification of everything goes away! Sometimes people are bad just to be bad not because of other things going on in their lives!

ADDICTED OMG!!! This series has me hooked and addicted. I'm in love with every word, and I can't get enough. Drama, angst, the feels, PURE PERFECTION!!! I desperately need book 2 like yesterday.

"I hope my dad said in the car isn't true. And I really hope my dad isn't as happy about prospect of Jacquin liking me as he seemed."Wait, when did this happen? This part never happened.

2019-08-12, so the last book was intense right? And I was pretty mad at the boys and their low down dirty antics. But this one was even more extra! First off, I never knew that camps like this existed, are these for real? But beyond that, Tessa’s keep on keeping on is outstanding to watch, it gives me hope when I feel like I can’t take any more. How does she just keep taking the hits and getting back up? I don...

I gave an additional star because the teeth grinding from the first book wasn't as bad in this one. There is a lot happening even though it was slow. I know, that sounds weird but the book covers her wanting revenge by training harder being better etc. then we have the lacrosse team turn up to add some interest, which then leads to the boys realizing they miss her, then the parent thing running alongside and also the coach thing becoming another ...

There will be a GENERAL spoiler that I think most readers would have seen coming, but don't read if you don't want to know. First of all, let me just say Hayes, Hayes, Hayes....Madam, Hayes. After book one, I wasn't quite sure who was falling into first place for me. Despite the guys' horrible rejection and bad bystander behavior, I was still hoping for Alec & Sloan. Now, don't get me wrong, I think they both find some redemption in Foul Line. Bu...

It was such an awesome surprise that the second installment got released earlier than expected, as I was really anticipating this second installmentThe story takes places over the summer when the guys (and Tessa) are at her dads basketball camp. We therefore doesn't get to "enjoy" all the bullies at their school - except Lake of course.I was really glad that Tessa didn't roll over for the 4 boys right away and that she let them suffer some. Still...

One good thing about being on annual leave from work is that I can get more reading done, normally I would be reading more than I have this week but I've been busy also binge-watching my Criminal Minds in order to catch up to the new season. So during this week, I am still sitting at a book a day. What it does mean though is I can catch up by clearing my devices as I have the time to browse longer. At the end of Book #1 in this series, we saw Tes...

Love this series so far! This is book two in The Ballers of Rockport High series and you really should read Game On (Book One) before reading this book. Tessa is a strong female lead character, although I would love to see her become even stronger in the next book. The Ballers; Ryan, Hayes, Sloan, Alec and Lake have always been a single unit moving through life together since they were little kids. They are all very good basketball players, but th...

5 stars for Foul Line by E.M. Moore. This is book 2 in The Ballers of Rockport High series. If you have not read book 1 you must before you read book 2. This book picks up right before camp is supposed to start. Going to camp we have Tessa, Ryan, Alec, Sloan, Hayes, Lake and River and this spells trouble. Lake starts off with Tessa right off the bat. We also learn that Hayes has been standing outside Tessa’s house everyday when school was going...

"Foul Line" is book 2 in EM Moore's Ballers of Rockford High series. It is after the basketball season and summer basketball camp for Quintessa and her now arch enemies, the Ballers, is about to begin. Tessa has decided that nothing or no one is going to get in her way of winning MAP of her area of expertise as well as deciding that she is going to do all she can to take Lake down, one Baller best friend at a time. But what she doesn't realize is...

Game onThis book definitely had my eyes misting at the end. I still don't think the guys have gotten enough shit for everything they put her through but I'm willing to look past that for the HEA. Lake though! He's a TRIP! He definitely crosses the Foul Line in this book. Can't say I'm surprised, actually, I was expecting it. Although it would've been nicer for me personally if Tessa had gotten mad at the ballers at least once this entire book. Lo...

This is the second book in the Ballers of Rockport High, and it definitely does not disappoint. We get to pick up in the summer at the basketball camp the group has gone too since they were in middle school. We get to see the relationship between Tessa and her Dad more in depth after seeing lots of her relationship with her mom in the previous book. Tessa's relationship with Ryan, Alec, Sloan, Hayes, and Lake intensifies for both the good and the ...

This book was just WOW! I fell in love with this series from book 1 and was excited to see how Tessa was gonna handle everything in this next installment and I wasn't disappointed. After the events of the last book, where the Ballers chose Lake over Tessa, this book starts with her preparations for the yearly basketball camp and she is determined to not only show them what she's got but also make them pay. Bigger Badder Better is Tessa's motto, bu...

I really enjoyed the first book in this Series, Game On. I had never read any of E.M. Moore's works before and now wonder what took me so long. After reading the second installment, Foul Line, I am trying to figure out where the heck my day went and when can I get my hands on the next book. I devoured this book in a matter of hours and hated when I got to the Epilogue because I knew it was ending. I love Tessa and the boys: Ryan, Sloane, Alec, an...

I waited impatiently for the second installment to The Ballers of Rockport High series and it didn't disappoint. Now I'll be waiting anxiously for book three. That's what makes this such a good series. This book had so many feels. I didn't want the book to end , yet I can't wait for the next one to come out. I will be hungover when this series ends. And here come the SPOILERS. I couldn't believe the book ended with Tessa hurt and Lake's fate hang...

This rating is for this 3-book series. Because I can't really chop up how I feel about it and because I read them one after the other. (The series is on KU.)I picked this up because, if I'm not mistaken, Jaymin Eve (one of my favorite PNR authors) recommended this RH series on her FB group. I'm always up for anything and I've never read an RH contemporary romance book so I thought I'd give this a shot. And after finishing all 3 books, I learned t...

Unbelievable! My very first Bully series & still my all time favorite is from Penelope Douglas then I was introduced to reverse harem with The Academy series by CL Stone. Mix those two taboo genres & you create one heck of a read! Don't get me wrong, not really into the more mature rated reads with teens having sex but sometimes you just get caught up in it & find a good series with enough angst, drama & emotional pull. Then you are turning the p...

This book was an amazing book because it showed the different sides of our main characters. Our heroin Tessa is a bad ass who shows up all the other players at camp including our Ballers. Lake is our villain and knowing more about his issues opens your eyes to hate him even more. Loved that we touched more on side characters of Chase and his lacrosse buddies. We close some questions about Tessa’s personal life which was nice. But now we wait to...

Better than the 1st but still needs workThis book was better than the 1st one, but still needs work. Tessa finally got a bit more sass and backbone and we got more back story about the guys and their hangups. My only complaint is that Tessa is too soft hearted. She forgave them or moved on and progressed in their unconventional relationship too quickly. They should have actually had to work more for her. Hayes was the only one who did anything ab...

My Hatred for A Fictional characterI don’t think I have ever, in the history of books read, hated a fictional character the way I hate Lake. He is the bully to end all bullies and he needs to PAY. This book rocked my world. Much like Book 1 in the series did. I love how strong Tessa is, from her home life being crap, to school, and now camp. She does her thing even when it seems she is utterly alone. These boys and her family have some serious ...
