    This is the first book I've read from this author and enjoyed it very much, particularly the suspense between the two families with a history between them that has kept them apart for generations. The combination of superstion together with a psychological cat and mouse game between several of the main characters kept me wanting to know more. I look forward to reading the next in the series. A great read.

    Having just finished reading The Broken Tree, I have to say I enjoyed this book the most of Ms. Butler’s books so far. The characters have become as a family to me, I love seeing how Lydia’s family is growing and yet, still love to hate Elliot.
