The Penalty Box (Vancouver Wolves Hockey, #3) by Odette Stone

The Penalty Box (Vancouver Wolves Hockey, #3)

He's a professional hockey player that lives on the edge. I prefer to play life by the rules. I’m the personal assistant at a sports agency that no one notices. Unless they need coffee.I don’t like sports and I like professional athletes even less. I’m indifferent to the mostly male clientele, except for one.Mica “the savage” Petrov. When it comes to wild antics, Mica is the biggest offender of them all. He’s reckless, wild and carele...

It felt too real, too intense, to be anything but.The Penalty Box is a slow burn marriage of inconvenience (lol) read. Mica and Charlie are reluctant to get fake married to save Mica’s career on the ice, but once they come together they can’t resist the natural attraction they have toward each other. It’s a slow burn, but once they start burning it is HOTTT. I enjoyed this story, because they truly do fall in love during the story. The attr...

I really loved this story!! It's not so original or unique but just done so well.I loved the characters...you got some real depth and development. It seemed realistic.Charlie crushed on him and he didn't take any (sexual) interest in her for two years when she was assistant to his sports agent. Mica was a NHL player who had plenty of easy conquests. The need to marry was a bit contrived but we went along with it. Charlie needed a bit of help and M...

I have recently developed a thing for hockey romances and this one did not disappoint! It sucked me in from the start and I couldn't put it down. This is the first book by Odette Stone that I have read and I will be back for more.Holy smokes is Mica hot! He needs to get married to a "good girl" in order to save his career with the team he loves. Charlie is his Agent's PA and has had a crush on Mica for two years. Talk about the perfect set up for...

This is the first book that I have read from Odette Stone. I love a good sports romance book and this one didn’t disappoint. Charlie and Mica were a great couple. The storyline was great. It grabbed you and didn’t let go until it was finished. The suspense, the heat and the drama of this book was breathtaking. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Odette Stone out does herself again with The Penalty Box, book three in her Vancouver Wolves series! As heroes go Mica was deliciously bad. Full of abundant charm it was hard not to initially be taken in by Mica, but what kept his allure going was Ms. Stone's adroit incremental exposure of the man behind the high profile escapades. This character had lots of depth and integrity that never let up allowing those willing to look to see both his value...

This is my first book by Odette Stone and I am already scouring her backlist. I liked the hero and the heroine in this story. Charlie has crushed on handsome hockey player Mica for 2 years and when he needs a fake wife to save his hockey career, she agrees to it. She knows it is only for 1 year. Mica doesn't like or want to get married. His parents were not the greatest example and he doesn't like to fake things. But he wants to play with the Van...

4.5 starsOne of my favorite things about this author is her ability to make me be a fan of something that I would never normally be a fan of. In this case, it is hockey. Unless it is baseball I detest sports. Yet, somehow, I have begun to change my tune. Not only do I find myself enjoying the actual story but also the game itself when it is being described. It makes me want to become a real-life fan. This book had it all; one of my favorite tropes...

An aloof administrative assistant with a crush gets the opportunity of a lifetime when said crush needs to rescue his image by agreeing to a fake marriage to save his hockey career. What no one knew were all the secrets hidden by both. This story, for me, was so incredible that I found every spare movie to read this book, and didn't want to put it down. Both Mica and Charlie have baggage, scars, and incredible struggles, and Odette Stone made me ...

I absolutely loved this book and need more. I am not usually a fan of the fake marriage story line but this one caught me hook, line and sinker. Mica is a yummy alpha Russian hockey player who has to marry Charlie to keep his hockey contract and clean up his image. His character is very well written and I loved his strength and his background. Charlie is the sports agency assistant who marries him to help clean up his image. The author did an ama...

After reading Ryan and Zoey’s story in “Home Game” I was forever hooked on Odette Stone’s books and could not wait to read Mica’s story and this book did not disappoint. Mica is sexy as sin, loyal to a fault and confused as f*ck when he’s forced into a marriage of convenience to save face with his team. Charlie is a headstrong independent woman who has secretly been crushing on Mica. When he needs a wife she agrees to do it even thoug...

4.5 starsI don't really get the title other than that it's a hockey reference, but I really enjoyed this story. I read it from start to finish in one sitting in the middle of the night so I suppose that should tell you something. The beginning was a little underdeveloped and I thought the beginning phases of the relationship could have been a bit more gradual and developed and a lot of parts of the story were predictable but I absolutely loved th...

OMG Odette totally lit the lamp with this one. I started to fall for Mica back in Home Game but oh my word was he perfect in this. Him and Charlie were just so damn perfect for each other. I laugh, I cry, I sat on the edge of my seat NEEDING to know what happened next. It was so, so, so good. 1-click this today

Loved it, this book was amazing! This series started off strong and the book 3 only keeps delivering. I love hockey romances but this is much more, a funny, crazy, steamy read that you won't be able to put down.

4-4.5 starsOdette Stone is quickly becoming a new go-to author for me. This book has a lot of my favorite tropes with some sexy Russian sprinkled on top. Charlie is our down-on-her-luck heroine who gets suckered into marrying our hero, Mica, a brooding Russian with a mysterious past. Odette Stone is a fairly new author and I feel like her books just keep getting better. Something I've noticed in this serious is that in book 1 peripheral character...

Enter Charlie, the forgettable assistant to his agent. The two have known each other for a few yea...

This book was....okay. I did enjoy the characters, but I get the impression that it could have been so much better if there were more time between book releases. I was a little disappointed when some of the dialogue was similar to another book, though. It’s almost like the author had a scene in her head, and in one book (‘My Fiance’s Brother 2) she wrote it one way, and re-wrote the scene for this book from the male perspective. While the s...

2.5 starsStory was okay but didn't really wow me. I liked the writing style.Mica's old friend is in the Russian mafia and while hanging out with him, the police bust in and Mica is brought in for questioning. Because of too many other incidents, Mica's coach is ready to get rid of him until his agent comes up with a plan for him to marry someone, to show his coach that he'll tame his wild ways and settle down. His agent Krista's assistant, Charlie...

I loved this book. For some reason, it hit all the right romantic places for me. It made me smile.Mica and Charlie were an unlikely pair. He didn't see her as an individual or a romantic interest and she hated the game he played. I think what made this book a little different was that it took Mica some time to realize he was attracted to Charlie (Baby Krista), and he had no idea Charlie was attracted to him. In addition, both he and Charlie had i...
